What we do to traffic on our network. The short version is: nothing.
What we do
We do not cap data. We do not bill overage. We do not slow a connection down because of how much has been used, what time of day it is, or what the traffic is.
Every plan above Best Effort is provisioned at the speed listed on the plan. Best Effort has no minimum speed and is capped at 25 Mbps down — that cap is the plan, stated up front, not a measure applied later.
Shared radio capacity means that at a busy hour a tower carries more traffic than at a quiet one, and that is a physical limit rather than a policy. Where a site is approaching that limit, our answer is to add capacity to the site.
What we would do, and when
If we ever need to manage traffic — to keep a site running during a failure, or to deal with an attack — we will describe it on this page: what it does, which customers it affects, and how long it is in place.
